Overseer

Derek

Derek is serious when it comes to his work, always trying to prove himself. It may be because he is a lot younger than you'd think an Overseer would be. Derek is only 20. But, that being said, he was chosen because he was qualified and a relentlessly hard worker. He is always trying to seem tougher than he really is, in hopes that intimidation will keep the ones under him in line. He doesn't like being a follower at all and always wants to be the leader. Now that he's clawed his way to the top, he isn't about to give it up. Truth be told, he likes the fact that there is a vicious virus spreading, because without it, he wouldn't be in charge. Due to the stress of his job, he is not in the best of moods most of the time, but when he's off the clock, he does enjoy a good party. Derek is also a heartbreaker and loves to tease the girls, then completely ditch them. Derek is six feet tall and very in-shape, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is believed to be immune to the virus.

Warder

Aella Reyes

Aella sounds like a cute name. But Aella Reyes is anything but cute. Standing at 5"3 she isn't a very tall woman, nor is she built on the heavy side. But however unassuming she may appear to be, never judge a book by its cover. Her name is pronounced ah-ey-la, and in Spanish it's ah-eh-lah. She is of hispanic descent, Puerto Rican and Cuban, with slightly tanned skin and vibrant, hazel colored eyes. Her hair is long and dark, but seldom gets to blow freely in the wind, because she likes to keep it pulled back. Aella is a no-nonsense woman in her mid twenties with a serious countenance that walks with her head held high and proud, for she is a Warder, and she loves her job. Armed with her knowledge of fighting and catlike speed, she is a legal weapon. Quite literally. She takes a considerable amount of delight in keeping the infected in line, and even looks forward to giving chase to any runaways. She is a predator. It's in her blood, and she enjoys the thrill of the hunt. Aella is a stolid character and doesn't normally engage in other activities that aren't related to her occupation as a Warder. She is also seldom seen with other people. She prefers to be on her own, free and unattached, and always ready to face the next challenge. Friends would only slow her down, and that is something that she fears immensely. Fighting and tracking fugitives- this is her life. She could never ask for more, and she'd rather die than have someone stop her from doing her job the way she sees fit. Don't stand in her way or you will seriously regret it. Her temper short, her memory long, and she does not readily forgive.

Medics

Malachi Fulton

Malachi Fulton is a genius. At age five he could read at college level. At age fourteen he graduated high school. At age twenty-two he graduated college and now, at age twenty-three, he is a fully-fledged, well respected Medic. Despite the fact that he is indeed unusually intelligent (and he is very aware of his superior intellect), Malachi is not full of himself nor conceited. All he wants is to help people, and he is driven by his insaciable thirst for knowledge and for his love for others. He would never abuse his power as a Medic, like some who use the infected for their own twisted experiments, and often tries to stop the injustice, moved by his compassion. But in the end the corruption in the government is too much, and all Malachi can do is stand there with his arms crossed, hanging his head in dissapointment at the sight of the suffering and torture of the sick ones in the hands of the mad scientists. Despite the danger to himself though, he has not given up completely on stopping the evil. Malachi is working on a cure. He doesn't know when or how he will develop it, but he's working as fast as he can. In the meantime, he often visits the sick and helps them stay alive longer, in hopes that he can save as many as possible in the end. He keeps this fact hidden from the authorities and his fellow doctors though, because if they ever found out about his plans, he fears they will try to destroy them in order to continue reaping whatever dark benefits they get from their own experiments.

Lexi Bellrose

Lexi is one of the youngest medics you've ever heard of, being at the young age of seventeen. She was half way through college when suddenly the infection broke out and she joined the goverment and is now working as a medic. She is smarter than she looks, but still needs help with a few things. She has a strong french accent in result of living in Paris most of her life, but came here to go to the college she wanted, soon finding work as a medic for the goverment after the infection broke out. Lexi misses home and thinks of her parents and siblings often, but tries not to worry about them. Sometimes when stressed or angry she speaks french and usually no one can understand her. But at times she chooses to speak her first langage. She is quite gorgeous, having pale skin that has never seen the sun,  flaming red hair and striking dark emerald green eyes that seem to see straight through you. She's like a lie detecter, you lie to her and she knows it instantly. She watches your posture, reaction and can even pick up when something's going on without even asking. She is very quiet and hardly ever utters a word unless when on the job. She can get nervous easily and isn't very good with being under pressure. Lexi is a very sensitive and highly emotional girl, but is strong and tries not to let anyone put her down. When she's not working, Lexi usually likes to read and write in her spare time, but doesn't mind drawing, being a very artistic and creative girl. Though some hate the infected, she pitties them and is always caring and gentle towards them. She knows they used to be people just like herself, but they have become a victum to the deadly diease and are destined to die unless a cure is found. She really does try to help the infected and if someone were to try to find a cure, she would help them and would even risk her life to help find a cure for the infected.

Rae Peyton

Born a true blonde, Dr. Rae Peyton’s appearance is rather deceiving. She is a highly intelligent young woman. At the age of 21 she worked alongside the best science professors and doctors the government had to offer for cancer research. She aided and supported the best of best to find the cure. And on May 1^st 2015, Dr. Peyton made one of the most important medical breakthroughs:  the cure for cancer. Long story short, Rae has been working for the government for a while now, qualifying to work to find a cure for the new threat. She’s a workaholic and breathes her job, but there is something peculiar on how she goes about it and how she finishes it. Dr. Peyton knows the Overseer personally, having worked with Derek in recent years as an intern. Rae is very cunning and very astute therefore she usually wins in getting her way. The extent to her normality is only her outer appearance; looking like she would play the role of the pretty dumb blonde. But really, she’s everything but dumb. Manipulation is one of her many fortes, using it to get close to the top dog, to get insight on everything that goes around in the camps. She loves attention because it’s easy for her to get it. You would think Rae would be happy with a perfect body and face. But in the end, she feels like she’s in an endless pit, in a deep dark abyss. Rae Peyton would set your world on fire if she ever got the chance.  

Sentinels

Hal Volkov

Working within the electrical fence of the quarantine camp you would think a young man like Hal would be emotionally scarred and would forever suffer from post-traumatic stress. Well, Hal has already gone through a couple rough patches in his young life. He was orphaned as a child, and never really had a stable family or home. Surprisingly he has managed to keep himself out of trouble. Honesty is not a policy that Hal goes by, but he’s got a knack at making good friends. Ladies love him as well, of course. Under his rouged and rough nature he’s very out spoken, talkative, and outgoing. Even though he is still learning to become a man, Hal likes the idea of always keeping a sense of immaturity within. He believes it’s humbling in a weird sort of way. He knows well to respect the staff and especially if they have authority over him. As a sentinel you are usually always labeled as ruthless, robotic-like even. But not Hal, he does have a conscience you know. And sometimes it gets the better of him, even when he has a job to finish. He’s a character but his looks are definitely deceiving. At nineteen he’s 6 feet tall and has a strong build to him. His black hair contrasts well with his piercing green eyes. Hal always has his trusty pistol strapped to his side along with his most loyal companion. He’s had him since he was a pup and became Hal’s shadow ever since.

Angel

After months of enduring pyhsical abuse from the men on the when she first started job and almost nearing on the virge of insanity, Angel now is a strong , hot-headed and cold sentinel at the young at of eighteen. She is fast and quick thinking, usually winning her battles. She used to be a weak, shy girl that never spoke to anyone, she still doesn't talk much, but is no longer weak and never show weakness to anyone. Though she acts like she hates the infected, she has never punished, killed or hurt any infected she has been ordered to guard. In truth she is really hiding a lot of herself from everyone. She isn't  really a cold-hearted girl who hates everyone, she's really a sweet and shy teen that loves to smile, but rarely ever does.  Her mother and three brothers died six weeks after getting infected and she ran away, only being at the age of nine and not having anyone else to look after her. She was soon found by a couple of sentinels who thought she might be useful and brought her to the Quarantine Camp where she was trained and abused by the male sentinels. She was on the virge of insanity until she found something that she cold do to keep her sanity in check. She sang and listened to music as often as she could and over the years she is a lot better, but is still emtionally scared. She is fearless when it comes to a brawl and usually ends up beating every guy that challanages her. If you don't know her or haven't seen her before than you're in for quite a shock when you see this stunning beauty. She is absalutely gorgeous, having soft pale skin, rosy pink lips, silky light brown hair and warm bright silver eyes that can just break your heart, but you know what they say; You can't judge a book by it's cover.  She is armed with a knife and a gun and don't forget her fists, she just as deadly without a weapon and is an amazing fist fighter, learning how to deffined herself when the other sentinels abused her. She also has her loyal and very trusty canine and she seems one of the only people she loves.

Hash Bates

This could be your average guy. Hash is hard working and always gets the job done. He has the reputation of never saying no. He hates being corrected, especially by the authorities. He would only listen to his parents but there is no use in that because they are dead now. He doesn’t like talking about it. His father worked in the center of the disease control clinic. The same disease that is causing this mayhem in the city caused both his parents death. Hash is very to himself and loves no one. He carries around a swiss knife that his father had given him as a young boy. That’s the only object that he has from him. Hash also has his precious AK 47.

Vala

Vala has long brown/auburn hair that is very straight. Vala thinks of it as plain but others say it's beautiful. Vala has bright green eyes and a purple lip ring. She usually wears a grey and stripe hoodie, and tight fitting black jeans. Underneath her tank top she usually wears tank tops. Vala likes working alone, and she will usually carry two knives. One large hunting knife that attaches to her boot and the other strapped to her waist. Vala doesn't prefer a dog, but if it became nesscary she would get one. Vala has a soft spot although. It's a small one but it's only used sometimes against her. It's only when people speak of her family does she want to kill who ever is speaking bad about them. She usually will. She hates it when people speak of her past, and hates it even more when they speak of her family. She has big problems with her past and tends to keep quiet about it. On any other occassion she is in a good mood. Vala also hates taking orders. It bothers the heck out of her to, but she supposes thats why she became a Sentiel...to learn how to take orders.

Brielle Rees

Brielle can be described as the girl next door. She’s always putting others before herself and has a soft spot for children. She’s only seventeen but has learned to take care of herself. Her parents have died due to the disease therefore her priorities have changed. She’s shy but once you get to know her she loves to talk like any normal teenage girl. She used to love to dance and sing, but there’s no time for that anymore. She has to focus on protecting herself emotionally and physically. Brielle has a darker complexion since her mother was of Caucasian decent and her father was of African American decent. Her hair is dark brown and is shoulder length. Brielle has large hazel eyes with a yellow ring around the pupil. She’s a good height at 5’ 5’’ with a curvy figure. She has very soft facial features that curse her into looking younger than older. She hates it now, but will appreciate it later.

Amelia

Amelia is a fiesty, free-spirited, and sometimes quite stubborn teenage girl. She will get what she wants and will not give up until it's hers. That being said, she also can be very patient. She has red hair from a bottle, gray eyes, and light skin. Her natural hair color is blonde. Amelia cares a lot about her appearance, but she is very self-conscious. She is talkative and relies heavily on friends. Without them, she feels utterly alone. Amelia enjoys taking risks, but rarely does she think of the consequences.

Jayne Wolfe

Skinny and short have always been used to describe the cute seventeen year old. With dark brown, curly hair that shines almost red in the sunlight, and green eyes that sometimes appear gray or blue from a distance, she's not bad looking. Just scrawny. And it's not her fault she just...doesn't gain weight. Weighing only 107 pounds, she's just like her mother, simply destined to be petite, but her personality makes up for her slim frame and short stature of 5"3, making her quite the hothead and loose cannon. Don't let that side of her mislead you though. Most of the time, she's kind and incapable of causing anyone any harm, often helping those in need whether she likes them or not. Jayne is not immune to the disease, but she has managed to stay healthy. She lives in town, where she usually hangs out with her best friend Christian, whom she cares about very much. After everyone she knew died off of the sickness, he is the only thing she's been able to hold onto. It's one of the few things that keep her sane.

Christian Chance

Christian Chance, other wise known as Chris, is a very loyal yet a man of few words. Born and raised in london and recently moved - only to be caught in the middle of a huge outbreak. When you get to know Christian, he's very sarcastic, humourous and noble. Maybe a bit over confident and arrogant, to protect the one he loves. He's a very happy, go-lucky guy that has a smile that is way to big for his face. He can be slightly flirty, but in a playful way and is probably the most loyal guy you could know. But of course - thats after he decides to trust you. And sometimes getting his trust can be a bit.... difficult? He does not have a mean bone in his body, but too people he doesn't know, he can be very quiet and keep to himself a lot. Which counts as a bit of trust issues. But besides that, he can be a pretty great guy -just give him a chance. Christian is rather good looking, as if he notices though. Most girls don't fall for him because of how awkward he can be. He has dark brown hair that can bleach and go a dark blonde. His hairs is a medium length and can sometimes fall into his eyes. His eyes - a leafy green that glow and are always bright, even when he's upset. His skin is rather fair and he has a lot of scars on his chest and his back. Thats why he normally wears sort of heavy clothes to hide them. He doesn't wanna scare anyone away. His noes is oddly shaped and looks a bit like a slide, but its cute if you look at it a certain way. He might come off as an awkward, quiet kid. But he really is a great guy - if you give him the time of day. Christian has had a troubled past. His father was abusive, after he developed a drinking problem. It was horrible, Christian and his father used to be so close, now he can't think of him without getting disgusted. Christian had a little sister growing up, Bree. He used to have two, normal, kind parents who would do anything for their kids. Until one day, his dad developed a drinking problem. He was always overworked and a bit stressed, but he dipped low. He got fired, and if it wasn't for their mom's job, they would have been broke. He was very abusive, always hitting Christian and his sister. Like most kids now, he devoted his time to playing guitar. Hiding in his room and playing guitar. One night, his dad went crazy and raped Bree. Bree, horror-struck and terrified, committed suicide that night. Christian and his mother was devestated. Over the years, both Christian's parents got infected and were quarentined, and are now probably dead. Christian doesn't miss his father at all. Christian spent his entire life in the town, and has made a couple of friends. Most of his friends have disappeared over the years, sick or moving or hiding. But he is still really close with his friend Jayne.

Matt O'Brien

Matt O'Brien is a boring guy. At least, that's all he can describe himself as. Normal, uninteresting, bland-- there is absolutely nothing special about him in any way, shape or form. His looks aren't all that unique: black hair, cut like almost every other sixteen year old guy, green eyes that are more dull than anything. Average height, average weight, average general looks. Matt's interests aren't all that different from normal males: video games, girls, sports, skateboarding, the odd party every now and then. He isn't particularly charming or that popular; just a nice guy with a sense of humor, a little awkward, good at talking, and has a very unique through process. Yep, perhaps the only thing unique about Matt is the way that he thinks, which he doesn't even regard as anything that fantastic anyway. But it is. Matt thinks like a serial killer. Now, he isn't one, don't worry. He wouldn't kill (remember: nice guy), but he could figure out how if he wanted to. He can piece puzzles together, consider all possible outcomes of a crime, the faults in them, and how you would fix them. He's naturally talented in reading peoples body language, which make it easy for him to put peoples thoughts together based on how they move and what they say. Basically, if he watched the news about crimes or murders, he'd be able to figure out where they would strike next, what they would do, and how they would do it. Because, well, he thinks just like them. But Matt doesn't see the talent as anything that great. He's been bored with life, bored with himself, and lately he's been preoccupying himself with the disease. He's not immune, but he's not infected either. He's never been a fan of science that would work around finding a cure, but maybe figuring out one could be interesting. His father recently passed on because of it, and there's signs that his mother caught it too, so it's not as if he has anything to lose to try and figure it out.
