The
Locals
Healthy- They
live away from the sick, trying to live normal lives and trying not to get
caught with the paranoid few. They are also in charge of their community’s
safety and report anyone that is showing symptoms. Some manage to hide the
early symptoms to avoid the quarantine camps. Amount- Unlimited
Infected- The
cause, who spread it, what spread it and the cure are unknown. These are the
people living within the quarantine camp that are sick and need to stay away
from the healthy. They must submit to the government personnel’s authority, it’s
a shame to say what has happened to the ones that don’t. Symptoms: Early
sneezing and coughing, but no stuffy noses, mucus does run from the eyes
occasionally. Blue veins come to surface and are noticeable against pale skin
along with dark purple rings around the eyes. Later the aches and pains come. Some
may suffer hair loss, nausea, and labored breathing. Final stages are death or
the mutant form. There is no said time to when the patient dies. They can
survive several months, a year or two, or just a week. Amount- Unlimited
Please be as
creative as you’d like to be with your symptoms. Nobody is the same, above are
just ideas. Have fun with it!
Mutants- This is actually rare because it doesn’t happen to all
of the people sickened by the disease. When the medics use the term mutant it refers to the state in which
the human affected by the disease finds his or herself. Your appearance doesn’t
change but your mentality and physical strength does. You can no longer express
yourself through clear words and you have a strong urge to hurt the innocent.
Although your muscles may look the same, your strength exceeds that of normal
human standards. They are dangerous to everyone around that isn’t a mutant. It’s
easy to brain wash them when they’re in this state of mind. Who knows… maybe
the government might find a use for these insensitive beings. The disease is
known to rot the brain, eventually shut all the organs down to the point where
they can’t function as a system anymore. Why do some go through this and not
others? Nobody knows, but the medics are working to find an answer. (For now
this position is closed. Later on in the roleplay I will ask who’d like to
become a mutant and we will go from there.)
Immune- These are the people that for some reason didn’t get
sick when they came in contact with the disease. Some say genetics play a role
in this, but nobody is quite sure. The immune live among the sickened and the
healthy… most immune don’t know that they can’t sick, so most still take
precautions and paranoia may set in. The only way you can tell your immune is
if you are constantly around the sick and don’t show any symptoms in less than
a week. Also, you may request a blood test by the medics to figure out if you’re
part of that fortunate few. Amount- Unlimited
Government
Personnel
Overseer- All government personnel render counts to the
Overseer. He or she is in charge of everyone and is fully responsible for the
camp. He/she is in tight communication with the Warder and lets him know most of the plans. This position is very
valuable and they know the whole scheme of things. They run the camp and must
know how to do it well. (I don’t like playing with favorites but if you would
like this position I must know you. Not personally of course. You have to be a
responsible friend of mine which means I have roleplayed with you before. I
only do this because I need to assure myself that I have left such a position
to someone responsible enough. Now, don’t get me wrong, I may not know you but
you can still be responsible. You must email me at ATTseries@gmail.com so we can talk it
over.)
*Note: Overseers
might change throughout the life of this site. If you would really like to have
this position but don’t know me then you have the opportunity to gain my trust
by starting small and working your way to the top. J
Medics- They are ordered to primarily keep the government
personnel healthy as well as themselves. They ‘take care’ of the infected but this is
not the case for every medic. There are sincere medical staff that try and find
a cure for the infected population, but others use their abilities for
wrong-doing. A lot of abuse is noted in the camps as well.
Amount- 10
(positions open)
Sentinels- These people work for the government and
have the hardest job; keeping the sick in line. If any try to escape or cause a
disturbance in the camp they are allowed to punish whom they desire. Even
though mostly men apply for this job, there are some women. These women run
mental emotion and physical abuse working among these men. Sentinels are
allowed to have one guard dog if they wish. When you join as a sentinel you’re
allowed to have a maximum of 2 weapons and not including a dog if you wish one.
You can also have someone else play the role of your pet if you’d like, just
let me know.
*The current Warder Aella Reyes, has ordered every new Sentinel to be immune. Since almost all medical tests are faulty in this department, the new Sentinel must coexist with the infected for a week within their barracks. If they succeed and come out healthy then they become part of the team. If they don't, well, it was only a matter of time.
Warder- Like the Sentinels, this man has to keep his eyes on
the infected. But his job goes beyond the electrical fence of the camp, he’s in
charge of fetching the locals that escape and return them back to camp dead or
alive. The warder is also in charge of punishing the sentinels for any
misdemeanors. He organizes them and tells them what to do. He has a special
spot in the camp and resides in a tower where he sleeps and eats as well as
watches everyone at the tippy-top of the tower. There’s only one Warder at a
time even when he/she is married. (Position is open)
